Sunlit path through a peaceful bush setting, representing the journey of therapy

FAQ

Good things
to know.

How do I get started?

You can begin by booking a free 15-minute introductory call to briefly discuss your needs and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.

How do I book, reschedule, or cancel?

You can book directly through the booking link on this website.

A minimum 48 hours' notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the full session fee.

What services do you offer?

I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people, available through in-person and telehealth sessions.

How long is each session?

Standard counselling sessions run for 60 minutes.

What can I expect during a session?

Counselling sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. Sessions generally involve exploring your current concerns, thoughts, emotions, and patterns, while working towards greater understanding, clarity, and practical ways of moving forward.

There is no expectation for you to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. You are welcome to bring whatever feels important, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

How often should I attend counselling?

This depends on your goals, circumstances, and preferences. Some clients attend weekly, fortnightly, or on a flexible basis depending on what feels most supportive and manageable.

Can I claim sessions through Medicare?

As a Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), sessions are not claimable through Medicare.

It is worth noting that while a Mental Health Care Plan typically offers up to 10 subsidised sessions per calendar year, out-of-pocket gap fees mean the overall cost may be more similar to private counselling than expected.

Working privately also means you can start without a GP referral, without needing a diagnosis, and without being placed on a waitlist. You're welcome to begin whenever it feels right for you.

What is the investment?
  • Individual counselling session (60 min)$150
  • Weekend session (Saturday)$170
  • Concession$100

Reduced-fee appointments are available for students or individuals experiencing financial hardship. Please feel free to enquire.
